Session cost calculator
Free chips hide the one number that matters: what the same spins cost with real money. Choose the wheel and the bet you played, how much per spin and how many spins. We work out every possible result, not just the average, so you see the bad nights as well as the good ones.
Wheel
Bet each spin
200 spins at $5 on red or black, European wheel: $1,000 bet in total.
Red or black wins 18 spins in 37, so results stay closer to the average than with any other bet.
On an American wheel the same spins cost $52.63 on average. On a French wheel with La Partage, $13.51.
Exact odds for a standard wheel with the same bet placed every spin. It doesn't cover the multiplier games, whose paytables are different. Count the spins you'd play in a normal night: software games go as fast as you click, so it's often more than you think.
Game guides
What each demo is, what makes it different, and what's worth practicing while the chips are free.
What's different. The standard single-zero game, and the one we'd learn on. Every bet on the layout carries the same 2.70% house edge, so no bet is a trap.
Practice this. Place each bet type once: a split, a street, a corner, a six line, a dozen and red. Watch how each one settles, so nothing surprises you at a real table.
What's different. The extra 00 pocket nearly doubles the house edge, but every payout stays the same. That's the whole difference, and it's a big one.
Practice this. Find 0 and 00 on the layout. If the table offers the five-number bet on 0, 00, 1, 2 and 3, note that it pays 6 to 1 with a 7.89% edge, the worst bet in roulette.
What's different. A single-zero game with a close-up camera on the wheel and preset call bets, including Orphelins and Zero. Some game guides say it returns half of an even-money bet when zero lands. Open the rules (the i button) and check before you count on it.
Practice this. Call bets cover a slice of the wheel, not a block of the layout. Place Orphelins (5 chips) and Zero (4 chips) and watch which numbers each one covers.
What's different. The best odds on this page. When zero lands, La Partage gives back half of any even-money bet, which halves the house edge on red, black, odd, even, high and low. Other bets stay at 2.70%.
Practice this. Bet the same chip on red for 30 or 40 spins and watch what happens when zero comes up. Then find the French names on the layout: Rouge, Noir, Pair, Impair, Manque and Passe.
What's different. Before each spin, up to three numbers get a multiplier between 50x and 500x. It only pays on straight-up bets on those numbers. You can bet on a standard grid or a racetrack with the call bets.
Practice this. Open the paytable and check what a plain number pays when no multiplier lands. Multiplier games usually pay less than 35 to 1 there, to fund the big wins.
What's different. A computer-run version of Amusnet's Maxima Roulette live game, so there's no dealer and no waiting. Random multipliers sit on top of a normal wheel. Amusnet's newest Maxima games advertise a ladder that tops out at 4444x.
Practice this. Use it to get a feel for multiplier games, not to test a system. Count how many spins go by before one of your numbers gets a multiplier and actually lands.
What's different. An Egyptian-themed virtual game. Amusnet says its multipliers can lift inside bets to as much as 2000x, and outside bets can get boosted payouts too. You start each spin yourself, with a fast-spin option.
Practice this. Compare the payouts on the info screen with a standard table: 35 to 1 on a number, 1 to 1 on red. Whatever the game takes off those is the price of the multipliers.
House edges for the standard wheels are worked out from the payouts. Royal Roulette 500X's RTP is as listed by SlotCatalog, and the multiplier details come from BGaming and Amusnet's own announcements. Check the paytable inside each game: it's the one that counts.
From free to real money
We checked each demo against the software lobbies in our 10 casino reviews. Where the same game isn't there, we show the closest thing and say so. The real-money button in the player follows this table and opens the highest-ranked match.

Casinos in ranking order, from our lobby screenshots, October 2026. "Same rules" means the same wheel and payouts, though not always from the same game maker.
Live roulette has no free demo. MyBookie lists live tables from $0.10 a spin, the lowest we found, and live multiplier tables such as x500 Roulette. The Online Casino has Triple Way Roulette. Our live roulette guide covers the rest.
Most deposit bonuses on our list count roulette at 0% or 5% toward the rollover, and the rest are slot spins or don't say, so they rarely help a roulette player. We go through the bonus catches for roulette players and compare all 10 roulette sites side by side.
Odds
French roulette has the best odds of the three: 1.35% on even-money bets, thanks to La Partage. European is next at 2.70% on every bet. American is the worst at 5.26%, because the extra 00 pocket doesn't come with bigger payouts.

|---|---|---|---|
| Pockets | 37 (0 to 36) | 38 (0, 00, 1 to 36) | 37 (0 to 36) |

Skip the five-number bet. On an American table, the bet on 0, 00, 1, 2 and 3 pays 6 to 1 when the true odds are 33 to 5. That's a 7.89% house edge, the worst bet on the layout. For the payout on every other bet, see our roulette bets and payouts guide or the roulette odds calculator.

Yes. All 7 games on this page are free demos that run in your browser with free chips, and you don't need to sign up or download anything. Our roulette simulator is free too, with $1,000 in practice chips on a single-zero wheel.
No. Free chips have no cash value and can't be withdrawn. To win real money you have to deposit at a casino, and the same house edge applies there. Our session cost calculator shows what your free session would have cost for real.
The rules and payouts are the same, so the house edge is the same: it's built into what each bet pays. What changes is everything around the money: table limits, bonus rules, ID checks, payout times, and how fast you play once each spin costs something.
French Roulette, if you stick to even-money bets: La Partage cuts the house edge to 1.35%. European and Zoom Roulette are 2.70%, and American Roulette is 5.26%. Royal Roulette 500X is listed at a 97.3% RTP. We couldn't find published figures for the two Amusnet games.
No. Press Play and the game loads from its provider in your browser. Some providers set cookies or ask you to confirm your age.
Yes. The demos run in mobile browsers. Use Full screen, or turn your phone sideways, so the smaller betting spots are easier to tap.
Each demo runs its own session. Switching games, reloading or closing the player can reset your chips and recent results, depending on the provider.
No. Every spin is independent, and short sessions swing a long way in both directions. Enter your demo result in the calculator to see how often a real session does as well.
Almost every casino we reviewed has European and American software roulette, and Zoom Roulette is in the lobbies at BetUS, Ignition, The Online Casino and Cafe Casino. We didn't find French Roulette or the BGaming and Amusnet multiplier games at any of them, so our table lists the closest match for each.
No. Live tables only run for real money. If you want a real wheel at low stakes, MyBookie lists live tables from $0.10 a spin, the lowest we found.
